YouTube is a video-sharing website with many inappropriate contents that are unsuitable for children to watch, so YouTube has an age restriction feature that prevents children from watching inappropriate videos. YouTube allows users to turn off the age restriction for restricted content in its settings if they do not wish to see restricted content.
YouTube’s Restricted Mode filters out inappropriate content using the title, description, and metadata, such as adult video content. This filter, however, is not absolute.
Just a few clicks are required to turn off the Restricted Mode on YouTube.
It is important to note that your network provider might enable Restricted Mode. Schools, universities, and offices often use Restricted Mode. You can not turn off the age restriction on YouTube manually in this case. An administrator only can turn it off.
